About Levlan
What does Levlan do?
Levlan is an international marketing agency helping businesses communicate, position and promote their brands across different markets.
We specialise in helping Chinese businesses enter Western markets, while also supporting European and international companies with marketing, content and production in China.
Where is Levlan based?
Levlan operates between the UK and China, giving our clients access to marketing knowledge, creative expertise and cultural understanding from both sides of the market.
What makes Levlan different from a traditional marketing agency?
Our focus is international communication. A campaign that works in one country cannot always simply be translated and expected to work somewhere else.
We combine marketing strategy, localisation, creative production and market knowledge to help brands communicate in a way that makes sense to the people they want to reach.
International Market Entry
Can you help a Chinese company enter the UK or European market?
Yes. This is one of Levlan’s core areas of expertise.
We can help assess your existing brand and marketing, identify areas that may need to be adapted for Western audiences and develop the strategy, content and marketing materials needed to support your market entry.
Do we need to completely change our brand for a Western market?
Usually not.
The aim is not to remove what makes your brand distinctive. Instead, we identify where language, messaging, design, positioning or customer expectations may differ and adapt the brand where necessary.
Can you review our existing marketing before we commit to a larger project?
Yes. Our Market Readiness Review is designed for exactly this purpose.
It can help identify weaknesses, opportunities and potential barriers before you invest heavily in launching into a new market.
Do you only work with Chinese companies?
No.
While China-to-West market entry is a major part of our work, we also support Western and international businesses that manufacture, source, operate or market products in China.
Services & Projects
What marketing services do you provide?
Our services include market entry strategy, brand strategy and localisation, content and video production, website and e-commerce development, SEO and digital marketing, social media campaigns, AI-powered marketing, presentations, exhibition graphics and ongoing marketing support.
Can you handle an entire marketing project?
Yes. We can manage a complete project from initial research and strategy through to design, content production, website development, campaigns and ongoing marketing.
Alternatively, we can work on a specific part of a project alongside your existing team or other suppliers.
Can you work with our existing marketing team?
Absolutely. Levlan can operate as an extension of your existing marketing department, providing additional skills, international market knowledge or production capacity where required.
Do you offer ongoing marketing support?
Yes. Not every business needs a full in-house international marketing department.
We can provide ongoing support covering content, campaigns, website updates, SEO, creative production and wider marketing activity.
Working With Levlan
What happens when we first contact you?
We start by understanding your business, your target market and what you want to achieve.
From there, we can identify the most appropriate next step — whether that is a review, a defined project, a strategy or ongoing marketing support.
Do you offer fixed-price projects?
Where the scope of work can be clearly defined, we can provide a fixed project quotation.
Longer-term or evolving projects may be better suited to a retained or ongoing working arrangement. We’ll explain the options before work begins.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the project.
A focused piece of work may take a relatively short period, while a full market entry programme, website or international campaign may require several stages.
We’ll agree the expected scope and schedule with you before the project starts.
Can you work with companies remotely?
Yes. International collaboration is a normal part of how we work.
Projects can be managed remotely across different countries and time zones, with meetings and project reviews arranged as required.
Language & Localisation
Is localisation the same as translation?
No. Translation changes the language. Localisation considers how the entire message will be understood by a different audience.
This may include tone of voice, terminology, imagery, design, product positioning, cultural references and customer expectations.
Can you create marketing content for different languages and cultures?
Yes. We work with marketing and creative professionals with knowledge of both European and Chinese markets, helping us approach international communication from more than one cultural perspective.
AI & Marketing
Does Levlan use artificial intelligence in its marketing work?
Yes. We use AI where it can improve research, ideation, creative development, content production, analysis or efficiency.
We see AI as a tool for extending what a skilled marketing team can achieve, rather than a replacement for strategy, creativity or human judgement.
Can AI help reduce marketing production costs?
In some situations, yes.
AI can make certain types of research, concept development and creative production significantly more efficient. Where appropriate, we’ll recommend AI-assisted approaches that can provide a practical advantage without compromising the quality of the final work.
